Victoria is the owner and principal designer of By Design, a company inspired by her mother’s namesake business. After years of helping friends and working with clients part-time, Victoria realized her passion for transforming spaces and decided to turn her love of design into a flourishing interior design business.

With over a decade of experience in design and staging, Victoria has the ability to envision the potential of a space as soon as she steps through the door. Whether you’re looking to refresh your home, undertake a complete renovation, or bring your vision to life with a new build, Victoria will guide you through the process with creativity and expertise.

A certified Home Stager, Interior Designer, and Seasonal Decorator, Victoria brings a well-rounded approach to every project. She lives in Newtown, Connecticut, with her husband, two children, and their dog, where she continues to blend her design talent with her commitment to creating warm, inviting spaces.

DIRECTOR OF EVENTS

Jessica has always loved event planning, starting as a young girl who enjoyed organizing imaginary events. She began her career in the trade show industry, focusing on marketing and operations. Jessica enjoys helping clients bring their vision to life, staying calm and organized during what can sometimes be a stressful time. Her expertise in management and attention to detail make working with her easy, whether it’s for special events, fundraisers, or corporate gatherings. She thrives on getting to know her clients and finds energy in the details and excitement of every event—no matter the size!

Jessica lives in Newtown, Connecticut with her husband, two children, and two dogs. She enjoys volunteering, working out, spending time with family & friends, and traveling. 

DESIGNER

Kristin Castaldi is a multifaceted design professional with a rich academic background and over 20 years of experience in the arts. With a foundation in fashion design, she developed a keen eye for detail and a deep appreciation for aesthetics. After many years in the fashion industry, Kristin earned a Master’s in Art Education, blending creative practice with a passion for teaching. Her experience as an art teacher deepened her understanding of color theory, composition, and the emotional impact of design.  

Transitioning from fashion and education, Kristin found a new passion in interior design, particularly in holiday seasonal decorating. With a flair for creating captivating spaces, she specializes in infusing environments with festive cheer and thoughtful design. Utilizing a unique blend of color and pattern, Kristin crafts environments that resonate with warmth and creativity, transforming ordinary spaces into enchanting holiday retreats.  

At the core of Kristin’s work is an enduring love for all things design. She draws inspiration from diverse sources, believing that great design tells a story and enhances the experience of every space. Whether through a vibrant fabric pattern, a striking color palette, or intricately styled holiday decor, Kristin remains committed to inspiring joy and beauty in both personal and professional environments.  

As she continues to evolve in the world of interior design, Kristin is dedicated to exploring innovative ideas and setting new trends, ensuring that every project reflects a unique blend of style, creativity, and passion.  

INTERIOR DESIGNER

Colleen brings a wealth of experience as a seasoned finance professional who has successfully transitioned into the creative world of interior design. After earning her Interior Design Certificate from the prestigious Parsons School of Design in 2022, she has cultivated hands-on expertise as an office manager and design assistant, working closely with designers to bring projects to life.  

Colleen excels at managing every facet of design projects, from collaborating with clients and contractors to coordinating with workrooms, showrooms, and trade partners. Her extensive experience includes overseeing personal home renovation projects, where she expertly handled material selection, contractor sourcing, and the meticulous coordination of timelines and budgets.  

With her unique blend of financial acumen and creative passion, Colleen is dedicated to delivering beautifully designed spaces that are as functional as they are inspiring.
